Facility Update

FACILITY UPDATE: JUNE 29, 2020

As our state, nation, and world recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, we at Cedar Point Sports Center are working hard to make sure that our facility is as safe as possible. We are continuing to monitor the directives from the CDC, state, and local governments to implement the health and safety protocols needed to responsibly keep our facility open.

We are open! This includes the indoor walking track, the family entertainment center, and our summer camps. Days and hours of operation for the walking track and the family entertainment center may be found on their information pages:

The reopening of the Cedar Point Sports Center will occur in stages that adhere to government guidance. As this guidance changes, so will our policies and procedures as we get back to a sense of normalcy in our community.

STAGE 1

A thorough sanitizing of all surfaces and equipment inside the facility has been conducted. Solid surfaces and bathrooms are being cleaned more frequently, and there is an increased availability of hand sanitizer throughout the facility. Additionally, our team has undergone training on proper health and safety protocols as we implement measures to help provide a safe and healthy environment for our guests and employees. These will include:

  • Social Distancing: Our team and guests are expected to practice appropriate social distancing between groups or families. There will be signage and, in some locations, markers on the floor to assist with social distancing of at least six feet.
  • Screening & Testing: Our facility may ask screening questions at the entrance to encourage awareness of CDC recommendations and respect for the health and safety of other facility guests. Facility employees will undergo a separate screening process before they begin work each day.
  • Face Coverings: Employees will be required to wear a mask during their time in the building. For guests, facial coverings are currently recommended as a safety precaution by the CDC.
